At last, there are yoga classes for seniors available in Budapest studio - AUM Jogakozpont at CORVIN Budapest. 1 time per week we have chair yoga: Chair yoga is for people who don't want to go up and down to the floor for multiple times during the class. We will practice seated or, if you prefer, using chair as a prop for a part of the class. Typical class will consist of: - a short meditation with breathing exercises - series of joint mobility and spine release poses - some hatha yoga poses adapted for chair - restorative poses at the end. 2 times per week we have animal / taoist yoga: Animal yoga is based on the ancient Chinese healing practices combined with yoga poses. It removes energetic blockages in the body, dramatically improves the range of motion, conditions the joints, so they are more immune to impact (during a fall for example) and strengthens the core muscles.
